The Octavium NKT (Newmarket)
Old fashioned positive ground germanium with NOS electronics soldered on a Sonus made PCB.
Based on Roger Mayer's '66 Purple Haze Octavia and the '68 Axis fuzz. This pedal not only features the Octavia effect but also the Axis fuzz!
This is not your average run of the mill octavia, it is a hybrid of silicon/germanium with smooth sounding Newmarket transistors.
The tone control will let you remove harshness or get it to scream crispy and dirty. Previously the Octavium was fitted with high gain NKT271 transistors. This new version is more mellow in the fuzz department and is easier to control with smoother tones on the fuzz. The Octavia sound remains the same as the 271 version.
