Sonus 1970 Fuzz Box

Instead of just dropping modern BC108 transistors on a board and fail to get the 1970 'Isle of Wight' type of fuzz tone, I started looking for transistors that matched the late 60s early 70s BC108 values and came up with great results. The type of transistors used in this Sonus pedal remain a 'secret'. They are NOS from the 70s that match the specs of an original 1969 fuzz face. The result is a bomb of a fuzzer that cleans up very nicely too.

  • Silicon NOS 70s transistors
  • Bradley resistors
  • NOS Philips capacitors
  • Battery / DC adapter operated

  • Alpha pots
